General Description

Polyphony is later addition on f. 79', f. 81, rectos of first and second unnumbered folios between ff. 81/82, and recto of unnumbered folio between ff. 89/90. Copied by four scribes. Presumably copied in Michaelbeuern, for use in local Benedictine monastery.

122 paper folios, 430 x 285 (some folios are half-1eaves or fragments only). Original ink foliation, 20-132, on upper center rectos (ff. 1-19, 92, 110 now missing; 2 unnumbered folios between ff. 20/21, 1 unnumbered folio between ff. 65/66, 2 between 72/73, 1 between 79/80, 2 between 81/82, 1 between 82/83, 1 between 89/90, 1 between 101/102). No covers. Main corpus (monophony) copied in square chant notation and Hufnagel notation. Polyphony is later addition on f. 79', f. 81, rectos of first and second unnumbered folios between ff. 81/82, and recto of unnumbered folio between ff. 89/90, copied in white mensural notation by four scribes. Inked Gothic initials in main corpus; no decoration for polyphony.
