General Description

Copied by a single scribe. Probably copied in Low Countries; original recipient not yet determined. Contents (unusually for its period & origin) ordered liturgically. Kept in the Cathedral sacristy, not with the other choirbooks, from the start because of its high quality.

Painted miniatures, initials, and borders, in Ghent-Bruges style, decorated with flowers, fruits, insects, birds, animals, and human figures. Unidentified coat of arms on ff. LVIF and CLF: crowned golden lion rampant holding red tree branch in its mouth, on azure shield. Edges of folios gilded and tooled.
