RISM B IV/3: 16. Jh.; 75 Blätter Papier + 1 Vorsatzblatt, 136 x 100 mm. Moderne Bleistiftfoliierung von f. 1-75; der letzte Faszikel mit originale Foliierung von f. 1-24 = mod. f. 52-75.—Einband: modern; Karton mit Lederrücken.

Diese Sammelhandschrift, von verschiedenen Händen des frühen 16. Jh. (f. 21v mit Jahrzahl 1506) geschrieben, stammt aus dem Franziskanerkloster von Mecheln. Sie enthält Ordensregeln, theolgische Traktate und Orationen (unter anderem von Thomas a Kempis). Musikalische Eintragungen stehen auf f. 39r/v und f. 46v-51r ; je Seite 1-5 schwarze Fünfliniensysteme (ausnahmsweise Vierliniensysteme) mit weißer, zum Teil unkorrekter Mensuralnotation; f. 50r mit Quadratnotation.

[Translation] 16th century, 75 paper leaves + 1 flyleaf, 136 x 100 mm. Modern pencil foliation of f. 1-75, and the last fascicle with original foliation of f. 1-24 = mod. f. 52-75. Binding: modern; box with leather spine.

This manuscript collection was written by several composers in the early 16th c. (f. 21v has the year 1506 written), and comes from the Franciscan convent of Mechlin. It contains religious rules, theological treatises and prayers (among other things, by Thomas à Kempis). Musical entries are on f. 39r/v, f. 46v-51r; 1-5 black five-line systems per page (exceptionally four-line systems) with white, inaccurate partly mensural notation, and square notation on f. 50r.
