General Description

Four polyphonic motets (on ff. 213-213') and fragmentary voice (on f. 206) copied by a single scribe. Manuscript also contains several treatises on music (ff. 207', 210'-212', 214'-215). Copied in Bohemia or Silesia. Probably given to Benedictine abbey in Kremsmünster c. 1440 by Johannes Seid de Lewbs (KellnerM).

i + 215 paper folios, 305 x 210. Modern foliation, 1-215. Original covers of white leather over wooden boards. Four polyphonic motets (on ff. 213-213') and fragmentary voice (on f. 206) copied in black mensural notation by a single scribe. Manuscript also contains several treatises on music (ff. 207', 210'-212', 214'-215). No initials or decoration in music sections.

First half of 15th century. Copied in Bohemia or Silesia. Probably given to Benedictine abbey in Kremsmünster ca. 1440 by Johannes Seid de Lewbs (KellnerM).
