General Description

Contents: Part I: f. 1-54, c. 1500, see inventory; from f. 46 without musical notation. Part II: f. 55-112 Missal of 14th-15th century without musical notation. Part III: f. 113-124, c. 1500: f. 113-117 psalm tones, invitatories, f. 118-121 Katharinen-Messe, f. 117v and 121v-124, see inventory. The 3 parts of the manuscripts belong to various epochs. Owned in the 16th Century by A. de Colaincourt († 1536) who passed it to the church of Corbie . After the dissolution of the abbey in 1791 the book came to Amiens. Discovered in 1965 by B. Stablein and H. Hofmann.

RISM Description

RISM B IV/3: 14./16. Jh.; 124 Blätter Pergament, 322 x 220 mm. Ältere Foliierung von f. 1-124. Je Seite 7-8 Vierliniensysteme (ausnahmsweise 5 Linien) mit Quadratnotation, rhythmischer quadratisch-rhombischer Notation und weißer Mensuralnotation - Einband: 19. Jh. (1828); roter Halblederband mit Wappen von Amiens.

Diese von B. Stäblein und H. Hofmann 1965 entdeckte Handschrift, die aus drei Teilen besteht, wurde im 16. Jh. von A. de Colaincourt († 1536) der Kirche von Corbie übergeben. Nach der Auflösung der Abtei gelangte sie im Jahre 1791 nach Amiens. Die 3 Teile der Handschriften gehören verschiedenen Epochen an (siehe unten).

Inhalt: Teil I: f. 1-54, um 1500; siehe Incipitverzeichnis; ab f. 46 ohne Noten. Teil II: f. 55-112 Missale des 14./15. Jh. ohne Noten. Teil III: f. 113-124, um 1500: f. 113-117 Psalmtöne, Invitatorien; f. 118-121 Katharinen-Messe; f. 117v und 121v-124 siehe Incipitverzeichnis.

[Translation] 14th/16th century, 124 parchment leaves, 322 x 220 mm. Older foliation of f. 1-124. 7-8 four-line systems per page (exceptionally 5 lines) with square notation, rhythmic notation, and square-rhombic white mensural notation. Binding: 19th century (1828); half-leather red covers with crest of Amiens.

The MS was discovered in 1965 by B. Stäblein and H. Hofmann. It consists of three parts and was owned in the 16th Century by A. de Colaincourt († 1536) who passed it to the church of Corbie . After the dissolution of the abbey in 1791 the book came to Amiens. The 3 parts of the manuscripts belong to various epochs (see below).

124 parchment folios, 322 x 220. Original foliation. 19th-century red leather covers, with emblem of Amiens. No index. Polyphony is copied in chant notation, black semi-mensural and white mensural notation in parts I (ff. 1-54) and III (ff. 113-124) of this manuscript; part II (ff. 55-112) is a missal from the 14th or 15th century.

Polyphony copied ca. 1500. Presumably of French origin; given to church in Corbie in 16th century by A. de Colaincourt. Brought to Amiens in 1791.
