Probably from a MS of the Cistercian monastery Schöntal (Jagst) The cover is a leaf from an account book from the monastery Schöntal for the years 1536-1600. The manuscript was discovered in 1954 in the attic of the rectory of Winzen Oberpfaffenhofen (Jagst) by Pastor Julius Oechsler. The lessons are polyphonic tropes. Je Seite 6 Vier- oder Fünfliniensysteme mit gotischer Choralnotation, zum Teil mit schwarzer Mensuralnotation (Mischnotation); Nachtrag (f. 13v) in weißer Mensuralnotation - Einband: moderner Karton.
Die Blätter dieser Handschrift, eines wohl aus dem Zisterzienserkloster Schöntal (Jagst) stammenden Kantionals, wurden als Einband und Deckblätter zu einem Zinsbüchlein des Klosters Schöntal für die Jahre 1536-1600 benutzt. Die Handschrift wurde im Jahre 1954 auf dem Speicher des Pfarrhauses von Winzenhofen (Jagst) von Pfarrer Julius Oechsler gefunden. Die 22 Musikblätter stammen vermutlich aus dem letzten Drittel des 15. Jh. und enthalten Nachträge des 16. Jh. (f. 13v). Die mehrstimmige Lektionen sind tropiert.
Inhalt: f. 1-12 Lamentationen; f. 12v-16v Kantionen, Alleluia-Verse und lat.-deutsche Kirchenlieder; f. 17r-22v siehe Incipitverzeichnis.

The leaves of this manuscript presumably came from a MS of the Cistercian monastery of Schöntal (Jagst). The leaves had been used as the cover for an account book of the monastery of Schöntal for the years 1536-1600. The manuscript was discovered in 1954 in the attic of the rectory of Winzenhofen (Jagst) by the priest Julius Oechsler. The 22 music sheets probably date from the last third of the 15th century, and contain additions from the 16th century (f. 13v). The polyphonic lessons are troped.
