General Description

Graduale, Proprium und Ordinarium missae; polyphony on ff. 43'-52 and ff. 114'-148. Of Czech origin. Sent in 1591 by Propst Jan Muzofil to confraternity of literati at Roudnice nad Labem (19th-century note by J. Pawel at beginning).

RISM Description

RISM B IV/3: 16. Jh.; 432 Blätter Papier + je 1 Vorsatz- und Nachstoßblatt, 365 x 260 mm. Moderne Bleistiftfoliierung von f. 1-432. Je Seite 7 rote Fünfliniensysteme mit böhmischer Choralnotation und schwarzer (Nr. 6 weißer) Mensuralnotation - Einband: um 1600; mit weißem Leder überzogene Holzdeckel mit einfachen Beschlägen.

Dieses böhmische-utraquistische Graduale stammt aus der zweiten Hälfte des 16. Jh. Es wurde angeblich im Jahre 1591 vom Propst Jan Muzofil der Literatenbruderschaft von Roudnice geschenkt (vergleiche Notiz von J. Pawel [1848] im vorderen Deckel der Handschrift).
