RISM Description

RISM B IV/3: 16. Jh.; 185 Blätter Papier, 305 x 203 mm. Ohne Foliierung. Am Anfang und Ende fehlen einige Blätter Böhmischer Choralnotation, schwarze und weiße Mensuralnotation. - Einband: weicher Umschlag, aufbewahrt in Kartonschachtel.

Diese Handschrift ist ein im Jahre 1590 von Jakub Hradecký geschriebenes Kantional der Bethlehem Kapelle (Kancionál Betlémské kaple), das der Bürger der Prager Altstadt Jan Starší z Libocké Hory für die Kirche und Kapelle Bethlehem in Prag in Auftrag gegeben hat.

Inhalt: f. 1-83 Vesperale (nur einstimmige Vertonungen tschech. Texte); f. 86-185 zwei- und dreistimmige Lieder, Motetten und anderem für die Advents-, Weihnachts- und Osterzeit.
