General Description

Two fragmentary partbooks: Discantus and Tenor. Copied by a single scribe. Probably of north Italian or south German origin. Folios removed from unidentified book binding at unknown time. Acquired from Milan antiquariat by Mr. Robert Spencer, of London, in 1983; purchased by present library in 1984.

2 fragmentary paper partbooks (D-7 folios, T-9), ca. 140 x 193. Folios removed from unidentified book binding at unknown time. Original foliation in D book, 90-93; 99; 108(?)-109(?); original foliation in T book, 49-57. Original numbering of pieces, [43]-51 (T); [69]-75; [81]-84 (D). No covers; each folio now kept in transparent envelope. Copied by a single scribe. Staff height 13.5. No initials or decoration.
