General Description

Collection of prints and manuscripts, of Dutch origin. It belonged either to a former Cistercian monastery or a Belgian convent. Bound together with a Vesperal from 1609 (printed, with handwritten notes), printed Officium sepeliendi mortuos (Antwerp 1589) and 2 other small manuscripts. Until 1928 this collection was in the hands of the Redemptorists of Roermond.

RISM B IV/4: 16. Jh.; 144 Blätter Papier, 197 x 150 mm. Originale Foliierung von f. 1-130, anschließend moderne Foliierung von f. 131-144. Je Seite 8 Fünfliniensysteme mit gotischer Choralnotation, Quadratnotation, weißer Mensuralnotation, und Mischnotation - Einband: zusammengebunden mit Vesperale von 1609 (Druck mit handschrift Noten), gedrucktem Officium sepeliendi mortuos (Antwerpen 1589) und 2 weiteren kleinen Handschriften in mit braunem Leder überzogene Holzdeckel mit Blindpressung (17. Jh.).

Diese aus Drucken und Handschriftten bestehende Sammlung des späten 16. Jh. ist niederländischer Herkunft und gehörte früher einem Zisterzienserinnenkloster oder einem Beginenkonvent. Merkwürdig ist die gemischte Notation. Bis 1928 befand sich die Sammlung im Redemptoristenkloster von Roermond.

This late 16th century collection of prints and manuscripts is of Dutch origin and belonged either to a former Cistercian monastery or a Belgian convent. Oddly mixed notation. Until 1928 this collection was in the hands of the Redemptorists of Roermond.
