General Description

Copied by Anthonius de Blauwe, who also copied LeidGA 1438 and 1439. Copied in Leiden, for use at St. Peter's Church. Transferred in 1578 to Town Hall, along with LeidGA 1438, 1439, 1441, 1442, and 1443; same group moved to Stedelijk Museum in de Lakenhal in 1874. LeidSM 1440 remains on permanent display at Stedelijk Museum; other manuscripts transferred to Gemeentearchief in 1931.
