General Description

Main scribe possibly Annibale Stabile, maestro di cappella at San Giovanni in Laterano 1575-6; present manuscript probably copied partly from earlier manuscript (now lost) written by Robin Mallapert, maestro di cappella at San Giovanni 1548-9 (HayL, based on interpretation of title page). Motets on f. [157'] are later additions by one or two different hands. Copied in Rome, for use at church of San Giovanni in Laterano.
