General Description

The manuscript originates from the St. Georgskloster in Prague and opens with a Processional of the early (?) 14th century. Since the late 18th century it has been in the University Library in Prague. It contains only a single polyphonic composition. Contents: f. 1-103v Processional, f. 103-113v Missa pro defunctis, f. 114-124v and 160v-178 Benedicamus-tropes and Kantionen; f.125-160v and 178-184 supplements to Processional; f. 184-194 visitatio Sepulcri, various liturgical chants.

RISM BIV/3: 14. Jh.; 195 Blätter Pergament, 158 x 120 mm. Moderne Foliierung von f. 1-194 (jedes 10. Blatt, zusätzlich f. 149 bis mit Bleistift bezeichnet). Je Seite 6 Vierliniensysteme mit roter F-Linie. Böhm.-gotische Neumen (Metzer-Typus). - Einband: 14. Jh.; Holzdeckel mit rotbraunem Leder überzogen.

Die Handschrift ist ein aus dem Prager St. Georgskloster stammendes Processionale des frühen ( ?) 14. Jh., das sich seit dem späten 18. Jh. in der Universitätsbibliothek Prag befindet. Sie enthält neben einstimmigen Stücken nur eine mehrstimmige Komposition.

Inhalt: f. 1-103V Processionale; f. 103-113v Missa pro defunctis; f. 114-124v und 160v-178 Benedicamus-Tropen und Kantionen; f.125-160v und 178-184 Nachträgezum Processionale; f. 184-194 Visitatio sepulcri, verschiedene liturgische Gesänge.
