As in 12th century French sources, the two voices are divided by a heavy brown line. This MS apparently comes from St. Mary's at Alderspach, though it is written in minuscule script with Gothic traits.

The codex contains theological treatises and sermons, including Historia cenae Domini et pedum lavationis (f. 190-193v) followed immediately by the two two-part compositions. These are written on 8 brown four- or five-line staves per page in 4 accolades of 2 staves each, though the staves may also be considered as a continuous series of horizontal lines. As in 12th century French sources, the two voices are divided by a heavy brown line; the notes are written as Gothic neumes. Both pieces are Benedicamus dominos, the first one troped. There are few Gothic traits in the minuscule script, which employs red initials, though the ms apparently comes from St. Mary's at Alderspach. It has an arabic foliation of 19th century black ink at t.r.r. (225 leaves + f. 122a), and the binding of white leather over wooden boards may be original.
