XVIe s. 151 ff. Papier, 220 x 155 mm. Foliotation moderne au bas des ff. et restes d'une foliotation ancienne très lacunaire au v. des ff. ne tenant pas compte des ff. arrachés antérieurement. Les ff. 60, 66 à 69, 81v, 82, 120v, 139v, 140, 141v sont blancs. Le f. 121 a été par erreur relié entre 131 et 132. Notation mesurée blanche. 4 portées par p. tracées dans le sens de la hauteur.
Le ms. porte en titre au f. 1, de la main du scribe: «Libro di Canzonette in Musica». D'après la «reconstruction» faite par Jeppesen, on constate que primitivement le ms. était constitué de 20 cahiers de 5ff. chacun (dont 6 seul' sont encore complets), organisation typique des mss. de frottole compilés à cette époque à Florence (Fn 337, Fc 2440, par ex.). On y relève 40 compositions incompl. par manque de 1 ou 2 vx. et il mq. en outre à peu près 29 pièces entières, le ms. ayant perdu 49ff. d'après les estimations de Jeppesen. Ecrit par un seul scribe tout au début du XVIe s. il contient 156 (en réalité 155, avec 2 pièces semblables nos 89 et 125) Canti carnascialeschi et frottole dont beaucoup sont l'oeuvre de compositeurs de Lorenzo Medici, et le répertoire permet de penser que le ms. aurait été copié à l'occasion de l'entrée en 1515 du pape Léon X à Florence, sa ville natale. En tout cas, le no 87 dont le texte porte dans le recueil de Lasca, Tutti i trionfi (Firenze 1559) le titre: Trionfo della compagnia del Broncone per la venuta di Papa Lione fournit bien cette date de 1515 comme terminus a quo.
