General Description

Polyphony on new ff. 96'-101', 43O'-431, 432'-433, 452'-456'. Répertoriai connections with HradKM 13 and HradKM 13b. Probably copied in Hradec Králové, for local brotherhood of singers; commissioned by Jan Biskup of Hradec Králové. Given to Prague University Library in 1870.

RISM Description

RISM BIV/3: 16. Jh.; 456 Blätter Papier, 495 x 340 mm. Moderne Foliierung von f. 1-456 (jedes 10. Blatt mit Bleistift bezeichnet); originale Foliierung von A I-XX bis Z IV (mit vielen Lücken). Je Seite meist 7 rote Fünfliniensysteme mit böhmischer Choral-, schwarzer und ausnahmsweise weißer Mensuralnotation - Einband: datiert 1605; mit Leder überzogene Holzdeckel, Blindpressung, Messingbeschläge und -schließen.

Dieses Graduale wurde auf Kosten von Jan Biskup, Bürger der Stadt Hradec Králové (Königgrätz) und geboren in Nové Město nad Metují (Neustadt, nordöstlich von Königgrätz), wahrscheinlich für die Gesangsbruderschaft in Nové Město geschrieben und illuminiert. 1870 wurde dann die Handschrift der Universitätsbibliothek Prag geschenkt. Mehrstimmig sind nur einige Ordinariumssätze. Inhaltlich ist die Handschrift mit dem Graduale CS-HK II A 13a/b verwandt.
