Check your Monitor
All DIAMM images are carefully colour controlled and are at extremely high resolution. If the images you see are grainy or do not appear to be true in colour this is a misrepresentation of the source image. It is essential that end-users see the best possible quality of image in order to ensure an accurate display of information that is in no way misleading due to its quality or colour.
To see any web images at the colour and quality they were intended, most computer monitors need to be calibrated, and the operating system of the computer adjusted to show images at high resolution. This is because the factory settings of monitors and computers are optimized for speed rather than quality.
In order to see the image at the quality it was taken, and also in as true a representation as possible of the original source, you may need to adjust your monitor settings. This is quite simple, and the following instructions will take you through the steps you may need to follow to make any necessary changes.
The image below should show a smooth gradation of colours from white to grey. Check that the white is a clean white by comparing with a piece of white paper beside your monitor. The edges of the text and colours should be smooth. If the image you see does not match in any of these particulars, or is not clear, sharp and lacking in graininess, proceed to the instructions for calibration (this takes about 5 minutes). It may be advisable in any case to check your monitor settings, even if you think the settings are correct.
